What are Lobby Cards?

Lobby cards are printed and distributed to the cinemas from the film companies. In most cases, a lobby card set consists of eight different cards (sometimes more and sometimes fewer) showing scenes of the movie or the cast. Each card is approximatly 8 x 10 inches or 11 x 14 inches but the recent ones have more variations. There is a title card which usually give credit information of the movie. The rest of the cards in a set are called scene cards which may feature major stars or some group shots.

Lobby cards are good for framing because of their sizes. They are popular in US and Europe. One more thing to notice is that lobby cards are sold in sets except some vintage cards which are hard to find would be sold individually.
